Newsom says he rejects the premise that #PGE infrastructure improvement plan will take 10 years, as utility officials have stated. Inferred the utility will be held to a much quicker standard @FOX40

#PGE presser now- official says sustained winds in the North Bay Area of 78 mph; 74 mph sustained winds is considered hurricane force @FOX40

Says at one point, one reading in the north bay showed wind speeds hit 100 mph @FOX40

#PGE expects crews to find significant damage to their equipment once this wind event is over. Says the last major event yielded more than 100 “assets” damaged or destroyed. Expects much more this event @FOX40

Incident commander w/ #PGE says 965,000 customers, millions of ppl, have been impacted in some form by #PSPS #powershutoffs during this wind event @FOX40

Next wind event is October 29th and ends October 30th, should be less impact than this wind event. Not clear yet which regions/areas will see even more #powerShutoffs this week @FOX40

This current weather event, high sustained wind speeds, will be winding down tomorrow morning around 11am according to @NWSSacramento @FOX40

#PGE has 60 community resource centers open to get drinks, dry food, phone charges, etc. in areas where powers been shut down #powershutoffs @FOX40

At least #PGE 100,000 customers lost power, and weren’t notified beforehand that they would lose power. They weren’t part of the original #powershutoff plan, but the wind activity caused more #poweroutages than first anticipated @FOX40

“We anticipate restoring a lot of people tomorrow.” Most of the “All Clears” will happen tomorrow morning- meaning crews have the green light to enter areas affected and begin restoring power #PGE #powershutoffs @FOX40

#PGE officials addressing the specific fire in #Vallejo near the Carquinez Bridge, didn’t answer specifically if its equipment caused it. @FOX40

Officials say they’d describe this round of #PowerShutoffs as “improved” from the last round. Say they’re learning a number of lessons, specifically about communication w/customers @FOX40

ALL 965,000 customers power should be restored within 48 hours of the “All Clear”, again that’s expected to be issued tomorrow morning for the vast majority of areas where power’s been knocked out @FOX40
