We were monitoring the flames of the Easy Fire as they crept toward the Reagan Presidential Library
....that is until they started coming up the hill toward us. This is a chain on what happened next.
We stayed as long as we could, shooting the entire time, until it really was time to go.
A red orange sun masked by the high winds and smoke as we tried to pack up we quickly as possible.
Once we packed up our next challenge was hitting our escape route through the smoke, the caravan out helped. Bottom line, flames move fast, gotta be ready to roll at any minute. #EasyFire#CNN

The Justice Department is charging 47 people for their alleged role in the "largest COVID-19 fraud scheme in the nation." Out of Minnesota, they're accused of stealing $250 million from a federal program designed to provide meals for needy children during the pandemic.
The indictment largely centers on nonprofit Feeding Our Future, participating in the Federal Child Nutrition Program. Per DOJ, they opened sites in Minnesota and "fraudulently claimed to be serving meals to thousands of children a day within just days or weeks of being formed.”
“The company went from receiving and disbursing approximately $3.4 million in federal funds to sites under its sponsorship in 2019 to nearly $200 million in 2021,” the indictment read. “In all, Feeding Our Future fraudulently obtained and disbursed more than $240 million."
The only survivor of those shot by Kyle Rittenhouse testified he thought he was going to die with his hands up just feet away from the 2nd person Rittenhouse killed. He also testified he pointed the loaded gun he was carrying at Rittenhouse just seconds later.
This was an exchange that plays into the central defense for Kyle Rittenhouse in this case. This has to do with the survivor Gaige Grosskreutz and is separate from the two killings of Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum.
A Kenosha County Judge sided with Kyle Rittenhouse’s defense attorneys today and denied evidence prosecutors were hoping to admit at trial showing Rittenhouse's involvement in a previous fight and his alleged association with the Proud Boys.
On the Proud Boys, and a bar appearance where Rittenhouse posed for pictures with alleged members in January '21, the judge ruled it's not evidence of a motive 4 months prior (the shooting) + Rittenhouse team said he did not know who they were/and has no association w/ the group.
On intervening in a fight between his sister and another person in June 2020, the judge ruled, “I don’t see any connection here at all." Prosecutors had argued he is "essentially a teenage vigilante, involving himself in things that don't concern him."
A Minnesota State Patrol Major said he believes the "vast majority" of the State Patrol manually deleted emails and text messages following the George Floyd protests in Minneapolis. cnn.com/2021/09/06/us/…
Per transcript: ACLU attorney Kevin Riach asked Major Dwyer, "You just decided, shortly after the George Floyd protests, this would be a good time to clean out my inbox?"
Dwyer: "It is consistent with events, large-scale or otherwise, we periodically delete our inboxes."
Minnesota Department of Public Safety statement, "The Minnesota State Patrol follows all state and agency data retention requirements. In addition, there is a litigation hold for all data related to this case. We are unable to comment further due to the ongoing litigation."
Taking some time off to end a truly insane 2020. Threading the shots from this year’s camera roll start to finish (good and bad), starting with an early year trip to Singapore, a sad unexpected trip to LA, and NBA All Star Weekend. See you all in a hopefully brighter 2021.

We’ve got a potentially very dangerous situation set to unfold in downtown Portland as what was tens of people has quickly become hundreds. Here are reinforcements for far-right demonstrators marching right into a crowd of counter protestors.
Officers from @PortlandPolice are on scene and have been telling people over a loudspeaker to practice “self monitoring.” Up until a few minutes ago this road had cars still driving through.
Armed demonstrators on hand as part of the group waving Trump’s flag and using the “ACAB” acronym to chant All Cops Are Brave. #Portland
