As of now #PGE has about 207,000 customers still without power @FOX40
A number of additional shelters are going to open in the areas that may be affected by the Santa Ana winds, as a precaution. -Cal OES Director @FOX40
Assets from a number of other states including Oregon, Washington, Nevada among others are working now to help fight #californiawildfires -150 engines, no specific number of firefighters. Most are already assigned to various fires @FOX40
“This is about your life. Everything else can be replaced.” Director of CAL OES w/serious reminder that if told to evacuate, do it. Despite serious fire damage, some still refuse to leave their homes @FOX40
Cal Fire -in NorCal, wind will die down over be next five days. Still hot during the day and still dry. In So Cal the winds may be more of a problem. CalFire is still seeing new, smaller fires spark throughout the state @FOX40
On #KincadeFire “starting to see a lot of success. Wind is favorable.” Cal Fire says they’re starting tonlife evacuations, and that will continue to happen at a more rapid pace. @FOX40
CHP issuing a request for drivers/homeowners NOT to be in/near the areas that have been evacuated as to make sure Fire Fighting assets don’t have traffic issues as they come in to battle fires @FOX40
California National Guard has 470 ppl on duty in response to fires. Supporting law enforcement to secure neighborhoods and prevent looting. @FOX40
Two National Guard helicopters were also deployed to help @PGE4Me survey its lines near the #KincadeFire area @FOX40
