This is now confirmed. Unreal. When the G7 coordinated to help save the global economy in 2008 due to the US-driven financial crisis, did any G7 country first insist on calling it the “Great American Recession?” Nope.
There will be time for recriminations with #COVID19. Wet markets need to be shut. All of that. But right now major powers need to coordinate against a borderless threat. The crisis demands American leadership and diplomacy. Petulance cedes the field to ... China. Self-defeating.
