It's been nearly a week since @realDonaldTrump's Scottish properties shut up shop due to #Covid19. I've asked @TrumpTurnberry, @TrumpScotland & the Trump Org in NY if staff are being retained on full pay, or if there have been redundancies/wage cuts/furloughs. No one has answered
However, thanks to Scottish Government measures designed to mitigate the economic impact of #covid19 on the retail, hospitality, and tourism sectors, @realDonaldTrump's Scottish resorts will not have to pay £970,000+ in non-domestic rates (essentially a tax on businesses).
In light of this, the economic impact on Trump's courses here is hard to gauge, but it will be significant. Even before #covid19 hit, they had yet to turn a penny in profit under his ownership.
