X : Can you describe an average company?
Me : Average? Hmmm ... they don't know their users or their needs, lack a systematic mechanism of learning, little to no situational awareness, no effective means of challenging assumptions being story led, rife with bias and duplication?
X : That's an average?
Me : As in typical, the norm, what is common ... I'd say this was fair. In terms of doctrine, I can even take a guess at across many companies.
X : But that doesn't make sense, how can companies survive?
Me : It's ok to be hopeless as long as your competitors are. If we all suck then no-one gains an advantage. The problems occur when someone slightly more competent enters the arena.

... now that component (i.e. computing) exists in a chain of components that are also evolving. That chain includes things and practices (another form of capital which also evolves).

Keir Starmer calls for ministers to set out "exit" strategy - theguardian.com/world/2020/apr… .... this seems like a mistaken line of enquiry. Use the time to clean house, especially after Formby report and these allegations of an internal faction undermining the executive.
Labour Members To Stop Taking 'Lumps Out Of Each Other' - huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/keir-sta… ... the quickest way through this would be to permanently expel any faction that deliberately undermined the party. You can't ignore it or excuse it. It must be dealt with.
X : Why expel?
Me : You cannot set a precedent that it's ok to undermine the party because you disagree with it whilst being a member of the party. Do that and nothing ever gets fixed. Permanent expulsion and quickly needs to be the order of the day if Formby's report stacks up.
