A quick thread on pharma companies and #COVID19. These are tough times, and it's worth the reminder that *all* biopharma companies have patient assistance programs that more generous and easier to access than most people think.

BMS said today that it would expand its access program for provide immediate access for patients who have lost their employment and health insurance.

Eli Lilly said today that "in response to the crisis caused by COVID-19," they're rolling out a new program in which all commercially insured and uninsured patients can get Lilly insulin for a $35 co-pay.

As a general rule, the @PhRMA Medicine Assistance Tool -- a search engine for patient assistance -- is a great way to determine what resources might be available if you are in need.

And, finally a shout out to all of those biopharma companies who are also working overtime on the innovation end of things. I expect this chart will need to up updated, maybe tomorrow, when we hit 400 trials.
