Fellow Democrats (and anyone else for that matter)- allowing politicians to waltz into office without opposition isn't good for anyone. Speaking for myself my political views are my own and align with Dems- who I believe are dedicated to advocating for *each and every* American.
Where there is no balance there is no Justice. Where there is no accountability there is dysfunction and chaos. NO public servant is above accountability to the voters that they serve. My State Rep threatens me, lies about me and refuses to answer questions about policy.
My State Rep accuses me of "begging for money" while she's funded by a handful of VERY wealthy individuals.
She received 29 donations in 2019 and her average donation was $543. She received *4* individual donations.

My average donation is $28. We don't have wealthy political patrons lining up to pay for political mailers or large media buys. We have the support of hundreds of people who want effective, ethical, thoughtful and professional leadership from public servants.

I believe in our public schools. I support hard-working Missourians and their right to collectively bargain like MY family. I support family farmers like MY family. I support minorities, the disabled and the LGBTQ community like MY family. I support small business owners like ME.
I don't believe that supporting your community requires a political affiliation, a flag, a badge, label or a title- only a passion to make the world a better place and the willingness to do the work to make it happen. However- in order to effect change commitment is required.
Since getting into politics- and for the most part only since entering this race- I have had to learn to deal with the worst behaviors imaginable from others. Mudslinging in politics isn't new but in this new era of social media many potential candidates shy away from the drama.
I entered this race to fight for my family, my community and my State in our State Legislature- not to prove my patriotism or earn a title. The People's Business must be the priority and public servants are charged with serving ALL of their constituents- not just a select few.
I have work to do as politics doesn't pay my bills and the coronavirus threat has shut down all of my work for the foreseeable future. State Legislators are to be "citizen legislators" and not be dependent on a State salary so I have to figure this out like MANY other Americans.
