Trump’s real estate company reportedly talked with @DeutscheBank about postponing payments because of the economic crisis. The public has a right to know if the Trump family is getting special favors & if that influences the President’s financial policies. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
.@DeutscheBank is worried that the admin could retaliate against the bank if they don’t grant favors to his company. And we all should be concerned that if they do grant the favor, the President may change policies to help his lender, not our economy. nytimes.com/2020/04/02/bus…
It’s ridiculous that during a public health & economic crisis, we have to worry that the President is putting his personal financial interests before our country. Congress should pass my bill to #EndCorruptionNow & force Presidents to fully divest from their businesses.

Data alone is not enough. The federal government has a responsibility to direct information & resources to communities being devastated by this virus. We want to know how the COVID-19 Task Force plans to address these racial & other demographic disparities.

President Trump still doesn’t have a plan to get our health care workers the COVID-19 supplies they need. But @JanSchakowsky & I do. We have a bill to publicly manufacture PPE, drugs, & other medical supplies needed to fight this pandemic. vox.com/2020/4/30/2124…
Our bill authorizes the federal govt to manufacture, or contract to manufacture, key equipment & supplies for federal, state, local, & tribal health programs at no cost to them. And it will start manufacturing facilities to make COVID-19 vaccines at scale when they are available.
The federal government must use its full manufacturing, contracting, & coordinating capacity to fight COVID-19 head-on. That’s what my public manufacturing bill with @JanSchakowsky will do. Congress should act by including this bill in the next relief package.

People with disabilities are more likely to live in poverty & to work low-wage jobs without health care or paid sick leave. Congress should recognize these injustices & prioritize the unique needs of people with disabilities in the next relief package. huffpost.com/entry/elizabet…

☑️Boost Medicaid
☑️Fund home & community-based services
☑️Protect civil rights
☑️Expand paid leave
☑️Provide emergency income relief
☑️Ensure food & medication access
☑️Expand PPE access
25% of US adults have a disability, and this crisis has exposed the pre-existing scarcity of medical treatment, equipment, and resources available to the disability community. It’s time for Congress to fight for our values & address these disparities head-on.
