Trump sent a ltr to Congress formally requesting $251B for Small Biz PPP, despite the MANY fixes to Ph 3 nec, word from DC is GOP will ONLY ok the PPP $, nothing will be added & they're going to stick to Trump's specific request. We shall see..Letter here: politico.com/f/?id=00000171…
2-This is how the Senate negotiate-'only this, you can't have that' & then they pull together & pound it out..we're waiting to hear from Schumer's office, permission for this additional $ will originate in the Senate. McConnell wants to push it thru by tomorrow. #WednesdayWisdom
3-The fact that Trump pulled the non-partisan oversight guy off his watch & replaced him with a sycophant added to McConnell wanting to shove this thru, is troublesome for Dems.
Even tho Treasury really needs this $, what are the GOP up to?
