Strutting about online because you think criticizing something Biden did 25 years ago is a sign of uncommon genius is as preposterous as thinking you're the first person to discover that touching yourself feels good. Really, you're just shilling for a corporate microtargeting op.
The reality is that the anti-Biden crap flooding Twitter today is 80% bots, 12% Trump supporters who have had their grandchildren explain to them by phone how to turn on a PC, and 8% nihilists so apolitical they think *anything* they say could make *anyone* look worse than Trump.

PS/ Keep in mind that #MAGAs don't understand how viruses spread—they believe they respect national boundaries. For this reason, the #MAGA response to this chart is that every nation should have a COVID-19 outbreak that tracks with population. That's not how this works—any of it.
PS2/ Donald Trump had a massive head start on these other countries; had more resources than these countries; and had a better healthcare system than at least some of them. There was no reason would couldn't have limited virus spread the way—say—South Korea (pop. 51 million) did.

(THREAD) This thread tries to answer the question many Americans are asking right now: are the members of Trump's inner circle, including medical experts on the Coronavirus Task Force, getting too optimistic about COVID-19 response too quickly? I hope you'll read on and RETWEET.
1/ We know that fatalities are a "lagging indicator" in the COVID-19 outbreak, meaning that the "daily new deaths" figure we see daily is a function of the "daily new infections" figure from *2 weeks ago*—not any sort of indication of where the COVID-19 outbreak stands right now.
2/ Rounding the numbers slightly—with all the respect in the world to what they mean—just for the sake of easily discussing them, two weeks ago "daily new infections" in the U.S. were at around *13,500*. That showed up in a daily death toll, yesterday, of around 2,000 fatalities.

Catherine (@CBS_Herridge) this is irresponsible and misleading. It's a heavily redacted, undated, partial transcript of a chat in which Papadopoulos admits the Trump campaign *knows it's under FBI surveillance*—of *course* he's going to deny everything and say it'd be "illegal."
1/ When one reads the transcript (what parts of it can even be read, given the many redactions, and it's not even close to complete), one sees that *everything* in the transcript that explains why law enforcement would *not* consider it significant was left out of the CBS report.
2/ Moreover, it's undated—and CBS declines to offer a date even though that's critical. Comey reopened the Clinton case 11 days pre-election—and most heard of it 10 days pre-election. Papadopoulos knew as of this recording—which could be as many as 14 days pre-election. Holy cow!
