#COVID19 Update: State Rep. Karen Whitsett @KayLyme, appearing on @glennbeck show, says she will meet with WH @VP, discusses her treatment for virus with #hydroxychloriquine. She also had some choice words for @GovWhitmer Re: current situation in Detroit. @1320WILS
(Thread)
1) “To have to use your name as a state representative ... to get care, it sickens me, it disgusts me, it’s wrong. “
2) “I can come back to Michigan with some resources for us ... testing kits, PPE ... our jails and prisons are not being tested. Our sheriffs and people who work in the prisons are not getting what they need. They are sick.”
3) “We have people walking out of the hospital our nurses and doctors because they don’t have the PPE they need.

“We Have Senior citizen building that are hotbeds and these seniors are suffering. We still have water shut off here. Pipes that need to be connected back to homes.”
4) “Seniors suffering as they don’t get the food that they need. Falling between the cracks because no one can deliver food to them, they can’t go pick it up ... without a doctor to get a prescription for a test. My cousins husband was turned away four times. He died at home.”
5) “My cousin was turned away three times. Their father in law was turned away and died. This has to stop! This is unreal what we are living here in Detroit and we have a Governor who is not helping us.” Image
