Lansing First Ward councilman @Bbetz1990 changed his FB profile Friday, and the words “pro-riot, anti-police” caught my eye. I asked him to clarify, and was he in favor of these same incidents happening with violence and destruction in Lansing? (More) 2) “Hi Dave ... I do not think that a protest over Floyd's death would be particularly effective in Lansing. However, an innocent Black person could die in Lansing and we could be faced with the same choices because our city has so far been unwilling to reform our police system.”

The ball that bounced off the shelf before my segment with Tony Willis @purelansing. Most famous sig is likely Clay Hopper, Jackie Robinson first non-segregated ball manager in Montreal. The fun we have from Studio B of the Morning Wake Up
Further digression on this ball and the name. Hopper was a Mississippian, as racist as any in 1946. He begged Branch Rickey to send Robinson elsewhere. Rickey would not. Hopper's mindset changed completely that season and he grew to greatly respect Jackie. Redemption and grace.

#COVID19 Update: Could number of Ingham County residents who are "seropositive" (had virus at some point but never detected) actually dwarf number of know cases to date? We asked @InghamHealth Officer @lindavail today, based on new Miami study linked here. hrld.us/2Y1QYIp
“I have no question that if we could do wide scale testing for antibodies that we would find many more people in Ingham county who have had the virus or … have it and are asymptomatic, which would increase our total number of cases dramatically," said Vail. (more)
