The more cases of #covid19 I’m treating- many of them healthcare workers- the more I’m convinced that home isolation rarely will work & instead is mostly a huge transmission risk to caring family members without good options.

We need to fix this.
Efforts such as this one in Boston - repurposing gymnasiums, convention centers, hotels etc and more for people who have #covid19 but don’t need admission to a hospital- are critically important.

I cannot in good conscience discharge patients who aren’t sick enough to be admitted right back home knowing they may now cause 2-3 more cases in their family over the next week.

Thanks to the effort in Boston I linked above- we need these around the country.
