1/ I know that many already are, but for my fellow doctors/nurses who are out there treating #covid19 patients w/ bravery & kindness...
the time is NOW to share what you are seeing to help *all* people understand the critical importance of #socialdistancing.
We need more time.
Remember- there is not a single person who thinks keeping society closed like this is ideal- but it is necessary for now.
Some of what we are seeing in the hospital is *very* bad.
Have seen/discussed multiple cases like this, including one just today.
I know it can be tempting to relax now that we are a few weeks in.
Don't.
For many states, they will be heading into what are expected to be their "peak" number of cases in the next few weeks.
Remember- what you do today is what we will be treating in the hospital next week or the week after.
It's easy to tell others to stay home when one has a job & is going to work.
I hear people who are saying this. Your point is well taken.
Being able to stay at home is a true privilege afforded to few.
That's why we are working so hard to set up what we need to respond to #covid19 across our various states as fast as we can while you all are #socialdistancing
But it needs to be this way right now.
As doctors, we put patients over politics- we made this promise when we entered this profession.
This is not about "Left" or "Right"- this is about life and death.
