Businesses rely on people spending money, people rely on jobs to have money. We have broken the cycle. Most Americans have taken advantage of easy debt and reduced savings. The government is offering debt to save drowning businesses. Debt requires growth. fool.com/the-ascent/ban…
I am advocating that people think local. Putting their money into local businesses, rethinking debt as a vehicle and understanding smaller money cycles. When you spend local, around $68 stay local when you buy chain only $14 remains in your community. Simplistic.
There are also national efficiencies like Etsy, Ebay, Kickstarter and other ways to generate money for talent, goods or services. The media should focus on peer to peer, barter or other non traditional forms of income. Start thinking of how to monetize.
