So after the characteristics of Karna, this will be a thread for Karna's battle prowess, skills and victory/defeats throughout Mahabharata. I will once again be quoting KMG, BORI and Gita Press edition. Let's begin.

So, here is his first fight with Drupad.
1. He lost as per Gita Press
2. He lost as per KMG version
3. He did not fight as per BORI edition

Next comes, Karna vs Arjuna in Draupadi Swaymvar

As per Gita Press version. Karna finding Arjuna invincible (thinking as a Brahmin) fled from the fight.

Same in KMG version

Same in BORI edition, it is explicitly stated that the brahmins had won.

Now comes the Rajsooya Yagya.

1. Gita Press, Karna lost to Bhima
2. KMG version, Karna lost to Bhima
3. BORI version, Karna lost to Bhima
4. Proof that it was Karna, King of Anga

Now comes some of Karna's victories.
1. Karna defeated Jarasandh as per KMG version described by Sishupala
2. In Gita press it is removed, only Bhima defeated Jarasandha
3. It is removed in BORI edition as well

Karna's Digvijay Yatra as mentioned by Bhishma

1. KMG version
2. In Gita Press version, it is removed.
3&4. In BORI edition, it is removed by admission of Bhishma and Shalya, he only won against a few kingdoms

Karna's famous fight against Gandharvas.

Ah, the famous Virat War.

1.First fight, ran away
2. Attacks Arjuna with Duryodhana, Dushashana, Drona, Ashwathama and still loses (All the charioteers were terrified)
3. Loses again
4. Loses to Sammohan

So, as pointed by a few people, Karna's digvijay yatra did happen in Gita Press edition hence I'm including it in a separate tweet.

Now we come to the great war itself. Karna entered the war on 11th Day.

Karna vs Virat. Karna stops Virat's whole army. That's the whole of his performance on day 11 where he is named except of Duryodhana and Drona calling away their army in fear of Arjuna(pic 4)

BORI edition states others also withdraw from Arjuna alongside Drona and Duryodhana.

On to day 12.

Karna vs Kekeya's. From all three editions.

Karna and other Maharathi vs Bhima. All three editions

Karna vs Arjuna 1st fight. Karna also fights Bhima, Satyaki and Dhristduymna and cuts all three's bows at one point. Arjuna still kills three of his brothers while fighting him. At one point Karna had to be rescued from Satyaki. All three editions.

On to day 13.

Karna vs Abhimanyu part 1. Abhimanyu made him turn his back along with several maharathi.

Karna along with all warriors vs Abhimanyu. Mind you, these were 18 Maharathi at once!

Karna vs Abhimanyu again. Karna had to be rescued again. By his brother who gets killed.

Karna vs Abhimanyu again after his brother is killed. What happens, Karna flees of course.

Karna and seven Maharathi vs Abhimanyu again, he makes them flee again.

Karna and same Maharathis vs Abhimanyu again, he again makes them flee again.

Karna and same Maharathis attacked Abhimanyu with TEN THOUSAND kings and Abhimanyu killed ten thousand kings.

Abhimanyu vs Karna again along with all the Maharathis. Karna runs to Drona and cries how he is somehow staying in the fight (shocker!) and whines on how to kill Abhimanyu before he kills them all.

Then Karna broke Abhimanyu's bow from behind and attacked him with all the maharathis. My brave Abhimanyu killed by cowards 😭😭😭😭😭😭

On to day 14.

Karna and eight other Maharathis vs Arjuna. Gita Press edition. Arjuna repulses them all.

Now comes my favorite part of 14th day of the war. Valour of Bhima!!

Anyway, Karna vs Bhima part 4, Gita Press edition. Finally Karna lives up to the hype (just kidding) and runs away from Bhima.😂😂😂

Haha no, Karna runs away on foot from Bhima once again and Duryodhana asks his foot soldiers to save Karna (LMAO). Also KMG version

Karna "lost all hope of remaining alive) vs Bhima. Karna gets agitated, Duryodhana sends seven of his brothers to save Karna, Bhima kills them all, Karna cries again, yadda, yadda, yadda.

I missed a few fights on 14th Day as if Karna needed anymore defeats.

Karna vs Satyaki. Gita Press edition. Satyaki defeats Karna, Kritverma, Ashwathama and hundreds of other kings were defeated by Satyaki alone and Satyaki spared Karna only because of Arjuna's oath.

KMG version

BORI edition

Duryodhana cries how Karna is defeated whom Duryodhana relied to make the war and Arjuna killed seven akshohini army in one day. All three version.

14th Day, the famous night fight.

Karna vs Bhima, once again. Bhima again kills multiple of Duryodhana's brothers in front of Karna and Karna along with other kings flees. Gita Press edition, KMG edition and BORI edition

The most laughable of Karna's fights, Karna flees from rakshasa foot soldiers summoned by Ghatokatcha while Ashwathama killed one akshohini rakshsha army alone. (This is the time for Ashwathama's valor). All three versions.

Karna utterly decimates Panchala armies. Gita Press edition and KMG edition.

BORI edition.

Karna vs Arjuna, again. Rinse and repeat. Karna flees again, explicitly stated to save his life in Gita press edition. KMG and BORI do not have the phrase though. But both confirm that Karna was defeated.

Karna vs Sahadeva . Karna stomps Sahadeva but spares him yet abuses him to high heaven. Gita Press edition, KMG edition and BORI edition.

Karna and six Maharathis vs Dhrishtadyumna

Karna vs Satyaki, again.All three editions.

Karna asks again to kill Satyaki and Dhrishtadyumna in a group attack. The coward is at it again. Also kills pandava army from behind while they were retreating.

Karna beats Dhrishtadyumna and Panchala armies.

Oh and in between the fight Karna defeated Dhrishtadyumna, Sikhandin, Yudhamanyu , Uttamaujas and Satyaki . First group defeat of Karna.

On to day 15!

Karna and other Maharathis vs Arjuna, again. Arjuna beats all of them again.

Karna vs Bhima, again. Karna beats Bhima this time.

Karna vs Bhima, again. No result this time.

Karna, Drona and Kripa vs Satyaki. Satyaki baffled all their celestial weapons. BORI removed this part however.

Karna, Drona, Kripa, Duryodhana vs Satyaki. Not present in BORI edition

Another laughable display from Karna. After Drona vadh, he flees in fear. All three editions.

Karna, Ashwathama, Duryodhana, Kripa, Kritverma, Dushsasana and Vrishsena vs Satyaki. Satyaki makes them all flee. Removed from BORI edition.
