Roger Froikin @rlefraim wrote, "NO. — WE ARE NOT ALL IN THIS TOGETHER

We are told 24/7 how we are all in this together, but who is actually making the sacrifices and who is not? Who is really having to worry about their future, and who is not? 1)
Masses of people, with lives that go on from paycheck to paycheck are out of work. 1000'S of small businesses, the major source of employment for Americans, are closed and many have serious concerns about ever being able to open again because of debt piling up. 2)
Sure, most will get the supplemental payment to help, & it does help, but do you realize that masses of Government workers who are still being paid will also get that check - a windfall. 3)
No, we are not all in this together.
If you are a Government employee, sitting at home, your financial life is not killed. Your job will not disappear because your employer’s business failed in this crisis. 4)
How about this: All Landlords forgive rent payments for the duration of the crisis. All Banks forgive any interest on deferral of mortgage payments for the duration of the crisis. All local and state Governments, forgive property tax payments for the duration of the crisis. 5)
And all Government workers sent home and not working, including members of legislatures and the Federal Congress, go unpaid for the duration of the crisis.

Then, just maybe, most of us will be in this together. 6)
One more point. I am more than tired of seeing ads on TV or hearing them on radio — by celebrities who are millionaires, or by well paid politicians who are not suffering in any way though this crisis,.....7)
telling us how we have to make sacrifices for the common good and that “we are all in this together”.

They are not in this with us." 8)
