The media and its hype and fear porn has putposefully kept us in a state of fight or flight and heightened alert. Many ruminate on the worst possible case scenario as the media feeds us lies, spin and propaganda. Their programming is meant to do just that. 1)
This heightened alert robs us from using our prefrontal cortex where our best reasoning is done. It is why people in fight or flight freeze and cannot function well. They are not capable of thinking with their executive function because they are in survival mode. 2)
What I am describing is PTSD and left untreated it can become Complex PTSD. When one is under this kind of stress, one becomes more susceptible to all the messages and spin of the fake news. It is why one is better off not watching and choosing one's media more carefully. 3)
President Trump has been aware of how the propaganda machine works & by whom it is driven & has been able to fight against it by using the lessons of Edward Bernays. He showed how to fight against lies & spin. This is how he has been so effective at fighting the fake news. 4)
Edward Bernays taught how to flip the false narrative by adding facts until the narrative shifts to what is true. This is what we have been witnessing with the release and unclassifying of documents. Look at what the fake news media is doing. They are suppressing these stories 5)
How many people know that Hillary Clinton paid for the Steele dossier or that Obama was behind Spygate? Slowly, more & more facts are being revealed & then, we will have the Durham indictments. We will see President Trump was right about being spied on & the coup attempt. 6)
The fake news political hack media will have to face their lies, spin & propaganda. Already they are losing audience because people are waking up to their lies. They have gaslighted us by changing their stories & making us question what to believe but the truth is getting out. 7)
Social media has made a difference. We can research for ourselves & share what we have learned w/others. We can focus on those sharing the truth instead of spin, lies & propaganda. Social media is the great equalizer. The internet gives us power & puts it at our fingertips. 8)
Choose carefully whom you choose to follow. Some are more invested in their ego and selling you merch. Others see themselves as the new media & they carefully research & do what real journalists use to do. They get confirmation from multiple sources before they print. 9)
Everyone has their personal biases but a real journalist will stick to facts unless they are editorializing & when they give you their opinion, they will label it as such. One need not know their politics based upon their writing because they seek the truth wherever it leads. 10
A true journalist knows & follows journalist ethics. What they are really selling is their integrity. A mature one will not insult their audience. It is a high calling. 11)
We cant have a representative republic w/out a free press who works for the people. Our problem is the fake political hack media got too close to whom they were covering. They got in bed w/them & sold themselves. Some left politics & joined the media & still serve their party. 12
This must change for the good of our country. Soon enough, the fake political hack media will destroy itself when it gets caught up by their lies. We will see they were complicit in the attempted coup against President Trump & the shampeachment. I long for this day. 13)
