The SA incident is interesting... the guy allegedly had companies registered in other peoples' names that were doing business with the @UN including @UNICEF. When they got to know about it, it's alleged he was given the option to resign or be sacked.

Mwai Kibaki's government, while knowing all this, allegedly salvaged, laundered & rehabilitated him then took him back into the UN system as Kenya's representative at the UN in New York.

There he's alleged to have partaken in all manner of scandals, including renting out a condo that Kenya government was paying for.
