What is your definition of rural? These are all communities of a few thousand people, where family doctors provide most if not all medical services.

From Med bulletin 227: Rural physicians are defined as those who practice and reside in communities eligible for the RRNP. The list of eligible communities is found in the RRNP community rate table attached at the end of the bulletin.

Flip to the tables at the end. Banff and Canmore no longer considered rural???

To deepen the confusion, today @shandro announced that there are no changes to the RRNP list, and that a "revised" list was sent out in an "oversight". I wonder why they had a revised list already drawn up?

He then says that the communities that used to receive the flat fee will continue to receive the flat fee. Yet it says in med bulletin 227 that the RRNP flat fee has been canceled, effective immediately.
