1.The Transforming Covenant 2 – 2nd Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV) – And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. #Covenant
2.This was formerly Saul of Tarsus, one man that experienced a radical change in his life. When he met Jesus the old ‘Saul’ dies, and the new ‘Paul’ resurrects. As we said last week, for you to become someone you have never been before, the old you need to die. #Covenant
3. In a blood covenant relationship with God, you and God become one. That was why Jesus said in John 14:8-9 when Philip asked him; show us the Father. He responded that if you have seen me, you have seen the Father. I pray that your presence will become God’s presence. #Covenant
4.What does death and resurrection experience imply? Except a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone – potential is trapped inside it – but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit – or transmute into something that has never existed before. #Covenant
5. That death or dying process describes loss of control. That is what Jesus meant when He said anyone that want to follow me, let him carry his cross and follow Me – Mark 8:34-35. When you’re in a covenant relationship with God, you’ve got to learn dependence on God. #Covenant
6.For God to show up and do things at his own size you have to get out of the picture and allow Him. That process of you allowing and yielding to God for his ideas to thrive and his will to take preeminence is the loss of control we are talking about. #Covenant
