Very proud of my cousin, Banff musician Heather Jean Jordan who will be in tonight’s special Stronger Together. Heather is the talented artist who played a beautiful rendition of Farewell to Nova Scotia on the church bells earlier this week heatherjeanjordan.com
I know our whole family is broken hearted by what has happened in N.S. My grandfather was a MacAulay from Glace Bay and ministered for many years at Brunswick Street United Church. My mom and aunts spent a lot of their childhood in N.S. and some of my favourite memories are there
Another family connection: My aunt Phyllis Thordarson (then MacAualy), Heather’s mom, was a student minister not far from where this tragedy unfolded and remembers driving down the beautiful backroads. So unimaginably unfair and sad this has happened.
