This article is funny as hell. They are so upset that the stock market is recovering. The fact if the matter is that the market sold off back in March as if the economy was going to be dead for years with some stocks losing 50, 70, 80%. It was an overreaction based on fear.
Once people understood the sky wasn't falling and this virus would not bring the zombie end times, the market recovered off it's lows. It's now in a trading range between 23,000 and 24,500 as traders, CEOs, government, and main Street wait and see how bad it is and will be.
It will stay in that range and consolidate for the next several days/weeks until something moves it up above resistance of around 24,250k or down below support of around 23,000k. The market as a whole is priced based on news of day Individual stocks will move more than market as
...winners and losers are decided. It's been interesting watching it over the last month and half. The market may still break support if the economy doesn't rebound and unemployment stays sticky. If the economy starts recovering and unemployment declines, it's off to the races.
