This is what many people do not understand. Regardless of government lock down orders, the economy would have ground to a stop either way as the virus spread. 
If you has a widespread pandemic or a fake media that made it appear that the pandemic was widespread then almost 90% of the people would have stayed home on their own. That means people would call off sick. Many would have quit their jobs. Without the government orders then
...there would have been little fiscal or monetary stimulus from Congress as Congress only operates during crisis. All other times they play politics( and even during a crisis as Pelosi and the dems showed they still play politics). Many businesses would have failed as customers
...stayed home. Sporting events, concerts and large gatherings would have suffered mass cancellations as the venues experienced empty seats. Ticket prices would have tumbled. Restaurants and other service businesses would have SLOWLY went bankrupt.
Instead of a month or two you would have had the SAME PROCESS occur over the next 6-18 months as the economy slowly went belly up. People want to pretend none of this would have happened if not for the government orders but people react in certain ways to threats like a pandemic.
The choice really wasn't "keeping the economy open" or "ordering it locked down/closed". The choice was "shutting the economy down for a a couple weeks/months" or "going through a massive economic slowdown for months/years". We may still face the "economic slowdown" if
....since we have the fake media/dems continuing to spread the fear but at least now we have a chance for a quick rebound and less long term economic destruction. It's not a sure thing by any means but there is a chance.
