27 April 2020 - @KateScopelliti's Birthday

The art of living. Kate Scopelliti is the greatest artist of life I've ever known. She is too hard on herself. Great people often demonstrate that character trait.
2) Her self-attack includes such things as being asleep when one of our granddaughters texted her, and her guilt over that. I think my disagreement over her self-judgment, recently, may be the first argument with her I ever won. She thanked me.
3) If there's a real fault, however, it is merely her inability to see her own glory, goodness, beauty, grace, and glowing light. We have a large family. The one thing that pulls us all together is Kate.
4) Each in our own way, love her more than just about anything. Our children and grandchildren have their own lives and loves. But, for me, Kate is my life and love. Everything else follows after and from that, and all blessing in life roots in her.
5) Birthdays can be challenging. They make us face the passing of time. But as I always say, birthdays are for celebration. And as I also always say, the greatest High Holy Holiday on my own personal liturgical calendar is today, April 27. Kate was born on this day, literally.
6) Yet, somehow her birthday is also my own. As I always tell Kate, life before meeting her was preparation. We met in August, 1981. So, by that calendar, I am 38 and 1/2 years old today.
7) Kate, love of my life, I will spend this day glowing in the fact that I am alive, and share my life with you, the very truest source of my life. Happy Birthday, Darling.

I love you more than words can say.
