Most customers are lazy. Even when they want to buy from you, they end up not buying because they are lazy. Here is something you can do to make them take action.

#thread
You see, whenever I make a social media post about my best selling book, Small Business Big Money, the question that gets asked the most is…

Where Can I Buy The Book?

Personally, I feel anyone that asks this question is either not really interested in the book or the person...
is too intellectually and mentally lazy to figure out how he or she can buy the book. I mean, if I’m hearing a lot about a book and I am really interested in buying it, what I will do is simply go to google and type in the title of the book.
Google search results will show me options. Options
from amazon to Konga to Jumia or simply to a page where the author talked about the book. Believe me. It’s so bad that one day, all I posted on my Twitter page was an instruction on how to buy the book.
Can you guess the first question I got under that post? Yes, that’s right. The question was…

Where Can I Buy The Book?

I mean, that is what I just posted. I was very angry but I decided not to do anything. But you know what?
As a business person, one should not be angry at potential customers. It doesn’t matter whether they are dumb or foolish. What should matter to you is the money they want to spend. So I stopped being angry. Then I decided that I would make it very easy for them.
In fact, I did better than that. I came up with an offer. I said, send me your address, I will send the book to you, the delivery man will come and collect money when he delivers. I made a single post. About 1,000 people responded.
About half of them were not available for delivery but hundreds of sales were made. Now, these were hundreds of sales that wouldn’t have happened at all. But it happened because I took my book to the people. What’s my point? You see, many customers are lazy.
One of my teachers once said you should imagine your customer as that lazy person sitting on his sofa in front of a TV, holding the remote in one hand and a can of beer in the other hand. That kind of customer will be lazy to respond no matter how great your product is.
How do you make them respond? Make it easy for them to buy. Your competitors are likely not making it this easy to buy. We naturally expect customers to step forward. Things have changed. Take it to their doorstep. Do not give them any excuse.
