I am proud to announce @LillieGJessie43, member of the Prince William County School Board, Occoquan District has endorsed my campaign.

"Today I watched two candidates present their message to the people in a town hall. One candidate talked about her ideas, commitment and call to serve.
"The other frequently reminded the viewers of how much money he raised, the infrastructure and support mechanisms of his campaign as reasons we should vote for him. The former candidate who reminded us of her mission and message was Vangie Williams.
"She did tell us about her ability to win because she lost by a very small margin to the same candidate in 2018. But for the most part she talked about her vision, commitment to serve, her leadership skills and insights.
“Begin with the end in mind,” is a frequently used slogan. As a former principal and supervisor of Title I, I know and experienced the power of early intervention. I know that ALL kids can learn at exceptionally high levels because I saw it.
"Early interventions like pre-school education gives all students a fighting chance to be successful. Vangie supports pre-school education. She and I also share another education goal , which is adequate programs and funding for special needs students.
"She knows that teachers are “essential” workers who need support and so is the preservation of public not charter schools.

"During the town hall there was frequent discussion of the deadly corona virus and the alarming death rate.
"What has been revealed is the enormous disparity in the death rate of African Americans, Hispanics and low-income populations.
"Much discussion has emphasized how vulnerable these populations are because they are the individuals in low-income, “essential jobs” such as bus drivers, custodians, field workers, etc.
"As educators we have failed to provide them with the credentials needed to be in higher paying professional jobs. “Beginning with the end in mind” means having the vision to know that quality education begins when our children leave the womb.
"We are not there yet. Vangie understands that. She has numerous degrees but her “Mom” credential is the most important when it comes to understanding the needs of students.
"My goal as a school board member is for every child to graduate from high school with the credentials to enter a lucrative career or college. In order to achieve this we must “Begin with the end in mind.”
"I know that Vangie shares that vision and that is why she has my endorsement."

I am so humbled to receive this endorsement. Let's show Rob Wittman what the 1st District is all about.

It has recently come to my attention that there are some disturbing voting trends developing in our area that need to be addressed. 1st, there are some in the AA community encouraging other people of color to write in “REPARATIONS” for president instead of @JoeBiden/@KamalaHarris
Simply put, this must stop. By not voting for @JoeBiden @KamalaHarris , you’re essentially voting for four more years of chaos, division and derision by the current administration.
2nd, I have been made aware that there are people voting for me by writing in my name for 1CD on their ballot. This too must stop. I have not asked for people to do this nor do I want this practice to continue. We must do everything we can to increase the size of the

This year was a humbling experience.

I have enjoyed this season working with our community and working to help us every day.

We have experienced many hardships that inspired my run for Congress, but none compare to this Pandemic.

(1/15)
My biggest concern was to do my best to help us find a safe path through this crisis. I put a focus on keeping my family safe while seeking resources for members of the community in need. I will not stop doing this because we all need the help and we can work together.

(2/15)
Everyone we were able to help, from a woman in need of her medication to an older couple in need of toilet paper. Whether your need is seemingly simple or very complex, I am here to find you help.

Attention Northumberland County! have been getting reports that there may be problems with curbside voting in the Democratic Primary. Cont.
While I have heard from the county that curbside voting is now available, there have been reports that paper ballots have previously not been available, requiring voters to go inside to use the touchscreens.
Cont.
If you are intending on voting in the Democratic Primary in Northumberland County, please make sure to bring masks and any other safety equipment you need for being in an indoor space.

Happy Father's Day, it was a long one.

Today was a wonderful day for Father's Day. It was also the longest day of the year thanks to the Summer Solstice.

#FathersDay
We had great weather here in the 1st District and I'm truly hoping all the dads enjoyed it. No matter how you became a father, you have a hard job, being a dad.

#Dad
#Fathers
Keep doing what you do and enjoy every day. We are living in a very different way this year, so relax with the extra time you have.

What I have to say is very important and I ask you to read this all the way through.

About half of our district is the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula. This is where our aquaculture is and it is very strong.

This area makes its living from the hard labor of our Watermen. They need our support now more than ever. Our Watermen catch and raise marine life from rockfish to oysters. They are small businesses that keep the region going.

They keep many more small businesses thriving. Restaurants, local grocery stores, roadside stands and more sell the fresh catches they bring to us.

I am truly proud to announce my endorsement from @SEIU!

"Working people need elected officials who will fight for economic, racial and immigrant justice."

Since her strong campaign 2 years ago, Vangie Williams has been working tirelessly in our community to lift up the voices of working people and make Virginia a better place.

I’m proud to support her for Congress"

Union workers are our strongest workforce. They pull together to make sure our working class stay protected and not abused with ensuring safe working conditions, adequate pay scales, the fight for gender and racial equality and so much more.
