I really think we need to talk less about easing lockdown and more about managing a health emergency over a period of months. Sorry if thats scary all round. But that's why this crisis is testing all governments. No easy answers.
Those who want to reopen business, fine, but are the people going to come? Can public transport be properly restored any time soon, whether national or international?
Education - schools, universities - what's the best approach if we're expecting the pandemic to continue for months? Similarly sport, recreation, leisure sector. It feels like the worst case is years of disruption. Who is planning this?
NB none of this is a UK specific problem. Most countries face the same issues. And it isn't clear if those countries that have done best have completely transferable solutions. A huge job ahead.
Is there any way we can get a proper national debate on what happens in the coming months of this crisis? Or is that in the too difficult box?

Still shocking figures. Too early to say if the UK will be Europe's worst affected country in this phase. Not too early to say the UK has done badly and questions must be asked as to why and what has been learnt.
