Allergy season is right around the corner

This time can be hell for many of you

The uncontrollable sneezing

Itchy stuffed up nose

Red and watery eyes

But it doesn't have to be this way

Here's a look into what's really happening and how you can better deal with it

THREAD
Allergies come in waves

The season begins with Trees, then grass and then weeds

Mold is year long because you can often find it in your home but peaks around mid summer

Different allergens affect different people
Your immune system is on constant high alert for any microscopic invaders

This includes Bacteria, viruses, fungi and allergens

Allergens are the tiny proteins that cause your allergies

They are ALL over your environment

You breathe them in
Once the allergens enter your lungs, your immune soldiers known as mast cells start working their magic

They identify the tresspasers and activate an immune response by releasing histamine

Histamine causes inflammation in order to flush out the allergens from your system
Your allergies are a hypersensitivity to a specific allergen

Your mast cells start to burst uncontrollably (degranulation) which releases so much histamine that your body overreacts

The result?

Mucus production
Swelling
Redness
Western medicine, through the use of antihistamines, does its best to lower your symptoms

They try to solve problem after it happens rather than stopping looking at the root cause of the problem

It's a bandaid solution

Your goal should be to minimize how much histamine escapes
Quercetin has been used in botanical medicine for many years now

It's a bioflavonoid that acts as a mast cell stabilizer which prevent excess histamine release

Less histamine = less allergies

It has really poor bioavailability so you need to combine it with bromelain
Bromelain is an enzyme (protein) that comes from the pineapple plant

Research shows that it an enhance the absorption of bioflavonoids (Quercetin) by 50%

A powerful allergy duo that work together to ease your allergy season pains
Stinging nettles leaf is another herb that can bring you relief

It has been used since the times of the Romans to help minimize inflammation

Say goodbye to any swelling & eye redness you may experience when you use this plant
Here are some best practices that will improve your allergy season:

- Change pillowcases often
- Get an air filter in your bedroom
- Supplement a combo of quercetin, bromelain and stinging nettles leaf
- Shower right before bed in order to clean off the allergens from your body
