Depression doesn’t just pop out of nowhere

Your brain + body work daily to combat the damage caused by your never ending stress

Poor lifestyle choices don’t help

You eventually deplete serotonin, your happy chemical, and get put on meds

It doesn’t have to be like this

Mental health issues are the plague of our modern world

All aspects of your lives, from meeting deadlines at work to catching the bus, put our biology on hyper drive

Your body ends up depleting super important nutrients in order to protect itself and keep you alive
It all starts with anxiety, you constantly worry about your past or future

Cortisol (stress hormone) is pumped out of your adrenals to keep you level headed

Your blood pressure rises, your breathing speed up, your muscles tighten

Your brain doesn’t like this
Serotonin floods your neurons(brain cells) as the stress alarm rings

You instantly feel more calm, present and ready to deal with the threat

Your body always tries to rebuild this important chemical but can only do so if you provide the right nutrients

Most of you don’t
Serotonin production requires:

- B6, B5, B12
- Tryptophan
- Folate
- Magnesium
- Zinc
- Taurine

A modern diet devoid of red meat and filled with processed food supplies little of these

Your anxiety worsens as serotonin levels plummet

You now transition into a depression
Your doctor gives you a prescription of antidepressants

The problem with the meds is that they don’t solve the problem

They bandaid it + minimize your symptoms

You become a customer for life rather than heal

More nutrients are depleted just to clear the drug from your system
Your body is in shambles

You can’t get out of bed in the morning and you’re lethargic

Your stress is still there but now your adrenals + brain are so run down that they can’t fight back

This is where most of you end up realizing that there’s a serious problem

The hole is deep
All hope should not be lost however

You can get yourself out of this mess but it will take time

Decades of damage can be reversed with proper nutrition, supplementation, sleep and exercise

Depression is beatable
Best tips to bulletproof your body against depression:

- High meat consumption (b vitamins)
- Minimize technology use
- Magnesium glycinate, inositol and zinc

- spend time in sun and nature. Check vit D levels
