Ben Shapiro has been given too much attention too young. His intellect has developed at a pace far beyond his empathy—which makes him sound like a sociopath. He isn't, but he's *decades* from the sort of wisdom that would tell you *never* to say—or even think—something like this.
PS/ COVID-19 is a significant danger to *everyone*. And *everyone* who dies from COVID-19—no matter their age—leaves behind traumatized, grieving loved ones. It's not in America's DNA as a nation—in 2020—to be callously picking who lives and dies. We try to save *all* our people.
PS2/ Shapiro just turned 36, but got his start as a political force at 17—and it clearly destroyed a part of him. I'm not trying to empathize with someone saying things a sociopath would say, I'm saying Shapiro's a case study on—and universal warning for—the danger of early fame.
