According to the study, 83% of patients have been treated on hospital wards without being admitted to critical care. Yet 31% of those still died.

Of the 17% of all hospital COVID admissions that are admitted to ICU the U.K. ICU Network reports suggest that c50% die.

Taken those data together that rather suggests that just under 40% of those admitted to hospital with COVID die.

Not much different from Ebola.

Wow.
A clear rejection that most of those admitted would not have otherwise have died imminently.

Highlights of the study of c 17k admissions
As found in the ONS data men are disproportionately represented amongst the dead.

Obesity a risk factor associated with ICU admissions, maybe associated with inflammation and hardship too.
Certainly the lower two socio comic groups are over represented in ICUs and deaths according to the U.K. ICU Network report.
Some people seem to make an early recovery only to relapse into a worse all body disease, inflammation and blood clots.
