Me : Nothing like the UK. Much of the education system is focused on reinforcing inequality in the UK.
Me : What about them? A mechanism of reinforcing social inequality which is Government funded.
X : But all able kids can go.
Me : That's mostly propaganda rather than reality. I know from personal experience both mine and others.
Me : My kid scored in top 10 (not top 5% but top 10) of kids in Kent. But we live in Romney Marsh. There is no Grammar school. Nearest one is oversubscribed (acceptance is based on distance not ability) and the only one is 90+ mins away (no decent public transport)
