I would financially support a Republican Candidate in a solid blue District with little to no chance to win if they were committed and in it for the long haul. But most are not. If that's the case, don't waste your money and instead support someone in a battleground District.
Republicans in solid blue districts need to have a 3 election plan.

Suppose You run in 2022 and lose 74-26 . In 2024 that gap better be smaller or you're doing it wrong and need to rethink your strategy.
2024 should look something closer to 60-40 if you're worth your salt.
Then in 2026 you should have more financial backing if you're a force
