Retrenchment packages for all SAA employees are a Must . The shareholder had a major role in the destruction of SAA. Covid-19 pandemic only finished off what was in the end unavoidable. The R500billion recovery funds Must include full retrenchment packages.
It is almost impossible to argue against a statement that the reckless conduct of the shareholder in the past decade created conditions for the incremental destruction of SAA. This is self-evident.
Red flags were raised in my presentation to the Parly Appropriations Committee in Sept 2017 and also in April 2018. Very senior representatives of Treasury were present. Urgency and professionalism in strategy execution was especially highlighted.
