Riddle me this, @MichelleObama & @Eugene_Scott. What's 55 years old, scapegoated and black all over? #ADOS VOTERS. #ThisIsMyTrauma

From time to time, I have to actually pull out the DATA from the 2010 midterms elections. 1/x
The actual election data does NOT support the scapegoating of black voters at the culprits in the 2010 mid-term losses. What it is points to is the Obama coalition falling apart in PURPLE districts. #ThisIsMyTrauma 2/x
In 2010, 52 House seats went from Blue to Red while 14 or so seats went the other way. 6 Senate seats went from Blue to Red. Let's look at the Senate first: #ThisIsMyTrauma
3/x
1) Arkansas - Obama L in 2008 - 77% white
2) Illinois - Obama home state - 72% white
3) Indiana - Obama W in 2008 - 84% white
4) North Dakota - Obama L in 2008 - 87% white
5) Pennsylvania - Arlen Specter* - 82% white
6) Wisconsin - Obama W in 2008 - 87% white

Looking at Senate seats alone, all are in states where the population is at least 70% or more White.

Obama did not win two of those states in 2008 and I'm befuddled as to how black folks are blamed for a majority white electorate, even Obama's home state. #ThisIsMyTrauma 5/x
House races in 2010.
42% of Dems who lost in 2010 were newly elected in 2008.

In 44% of those districts, the Hispanic population is larger than the black population.

Only 1 district had less than a majority of whites and that was a Hispanic district.
#ThisIsMyTrauma 6/x
71% of the House races lost in the 2010 midterms were in districts that were 75% White or more.

So how in the heck does #ThisIsMyTrauma amount to scapegoating black folks when the Obama administration lost when he wasn't the black president? #StopLyingOnBlackPeople #ADOS 7/7
