#COVID19Lagos Situation Report as at 2pm 8th May, 2020.

Flattening The Curve

@followlasg strategies are in line with what is called flattening the curve to ensure there are not too many #COVID19 patients in a short period of time that will overwhelm our health infrastructures.

Testing capacity ramped up.Testing is now done in 4 centers; @LagosBiobank @LUTHofficial @nimrnigeria and @weare54gene

Over 1507 cases diagnosed, 406 discharged , 1037 active and 33 #COVID19 related deaths recorded so far.

Lagos mainland has majority of #COVID19 cases.

Alimosho, Oshodi, mushin, ikeja, kosofe and Isolo are having more #COVID19 cases.

New cases detected in Ojo.

The State is using this data to plan its strategies and where to place increased surveillance and isolation capacity.

Isolation centres are situate in Gbagada, LUTH, IDH Yaba, Onikan and Landmark,

Isolation facilities to be set up in Badagry and Epe.

Agidingbi Isolation centre is dedicated to frontline health personnel.

Overall capacity utilization of isolation centres is 45% as of now.
