Just as scientists, researchers and amazing frontline medical staff come into their own, for balance, the gutter spews up weird motley clusters of anti vaxxers, 5G chemtrail alarmists, tinfoil hat wearers, and malignantly malicious haters of reason and rationality. #plandemic 
The distinction is of temperature and action. Scientists are calm, rational, because of the scientific inference, always accepting of new information. They are also pragmatic: doing actual work, testing samples, constructing solutions, testing and discarding flawed results.
Or they are nurses and doctors on the frontline, tending the sick, soothing the anxious, putting aside their own panic, living to a code of ethical practice. They smile at danger and choose to be helpful. They are so generous and nice, it's almost annoying!
On the other hand there are the overheated, the irrational, the cynical, the narrow minded, the reactionary, the hostile, the suspicious, the nasty, the confused and the psychologically scarred. There is not a good deed they would let go unpunished. They are haters and bigots.
They are people afraid of the sky, the shape of clouds, the telephone, even electricity, they are outside the loop of any genuine social connection, preferring to disguise their intellectual and personal failings inside conspiracy and secret plots.
The only action they take is to object: to anything and everything. They give nothing back, provide no actual answers, make no one feel better; except themselves, enmired inside their own little self loathing dungeons, blaming the Jews, the Asians, the non-white, the clever.
Where others see hope, they see themselves being denied. They are essentially tantrum throwers, as rational as a toddler kicking the floor and biting the carpet because big mummy government just doesn't understand. They know better, just because a YouTube video says so.
The terrible thing is, one of them is in the White House. Globally they are funded by vested interests of various kinds. For every ten dollars spent on actual life affirming science, there may be at least one dollar spent on those bent on promoting fear and loathing. #metta
