Why wasn't this implemented back in March when your administration issued the order forcing these homes to take on COVID-19 patients, thereby putting residents at risk and running up the death tolls?

Back then you even let staff that tested + keep working.
Oh looks like Cuomo finally reversed his order. Only took 1.5 months of the virus ravaging through places where the most at-risk people were being held. This was one of the worst screw ups in recent history, & he's received a complete pass for it.

Just happens to be that Cuomo's reversal came after he finally received some media criticism for his handling of the crisis. I wish these articles had come around far earlier.

So I think an accuser's credibility is relevant to charges, but I also think people need to be careful about not engaging in what is perceived as a smear campaign against a potential victim.

The double standard being applied in these two cases is so blatant that it's insane.
There were a lot of stories during the Kavanaugh about Ford's personality, history, her relationship w her family etc.

I did not publicly discuss them because I thought they didn't prove anything and the facts spoke for themselves. Interesting seeing opposite approach here.
This is what I was referring to in the previous tweet. The information isn't that different from what is coming out re Reade. Don't really see the purpose of dropping it now, but double standard is clear.

It's helpful because it's accurate. People in the press need to be held accountable for doing a bad job because their failures have had real consequences. Especially when it comes to how they have covered various states.
One of the things I wrote about for tomorrow's AG Report is just how much harm came out of the press giving Cuomo a pass while wrongly focusing all their criticism on DeSantis. It allowed NY to avoid taking actions that could have saved many lives for months.
I'm sorry if that reality makes some people uncomfortable, but it should lead to some self-reflection from the press. ESPECIALLY those who have seen and felt the devastation in NY. How did your colleagues screw these stories up so badly and how will they avoid it next time?

NY's political leadership completely failed their residents throughout this crisis.

This same NYC Health Commissioner was actively urging New Yorkers not to change any of their behavior in early March, denying need for self-quarantines, and insisting the subway was safe.
De Blasio, Barbot, Levine, Cuomo...

These people should all be facing public shaming and endless scrutiny. They helped turn America's biggest city into a disaster zone. Instead there has been no accountability.
There are obviously things that Trump is responsible for at fed level, but the disaster in NYC can't be compared to anywhere else and was also responsible for extensive spread. There are other factors (population, transportation etc), but their failures clearly played a role.
