These people should all be facing public shaming and endless scrutiny. They helped turn America's biggest city into a disaster zone. Instead there has been no accountability.

There are obviously things that Trump is responsible for at fed level, but the disaster in NYC can't be compared to anywhere else and was also responsible for extensive spread. There are other factors (population, transportation etc), but their failures clearly played a role.
It would be easier to take if the press wasn't focused on skewering Kemp and De Santis while these NY leaders have gotten almost a complete pass for significantly worse results. The lack of accountability is infuriating.
And btw I personally would not support any significant federal bailout for NYC until at least some of the people responsible for the mess they face (including fiscally) agree to resign:
