This is the story around the globe: Governments have denied seniors the love/care of family members.
#BeProudLockdownCrowd and sign a pledge that if you/spouse/grown up child will need hospital/nursing home care down the road after Covid-19, you won’t go visit/won’t welcome any family. You will live by the same lockdown policies that you gave to patients during Covid-19.
If you are not ready for this, you admit that lack of family likely contributes to Covid deaths. I mean, if you have confidence that staff will do everything 100% right and/or if you don’t think that having family matters, I am sure you will forfeit this privilege. Right?
A study for after Covid: Monitor how many seniors die in nursing homes with family access vs homes with no access. This may help show how many seniors died from Covid vs from Covid POLICIES.

#LockdownGovernors will sure agree to go/send their Moms to the homes without family.
THIS morning I wrote 👆🏼that the lockdown crowd should live by their own rules regarding no family for patients in hospital/senior homes, AND TODAY we learn that the Mom of Pennsylvania’s Health Secretary got the hell out of a nursing home!

1/ Every health issue needs to be looked at while also keeping society going as much as possible because lockdowns have massive downsides too: Spike in calls to suicide hotlines; ODs; domestic abuse (which is a cause of death for women) and lack of care on other issues.
2/ In fact, 1.4 MILLION healthcare jobs were wiped out in the US in April! Children’s development is damaged long term by keeping them away from school/friends for long. Why create all this death and destruction with the goal to keep deaths from one cause at zero? For example:
12 of the 21,845 Covid deaths in NY are under the age of 20. In England it is 11 from the first 22K Covid deaths. This is DATA showing the lower risk to children.

Context? 5,520 children under the age of 15 already died this year in the US; including 104 from Pneumonia. SOURCES: ImageImageImage

This thread by @ASlavitt would be credible if it did not treat the Open as an economic issue while the close as a lifesaving one only.

1.43 million healthcare jobs were wiped out in April in the US; hunger in poor counties is rising, and death from despair spikes in downturns.
BTW @ASlavitt, few if any country had testing beyond a few points of their population. This is hardly enough for a contagious virus that easily hits 10-20 percent of the population within months. Korea has 50 MILLION peopls but tested only 680K at this point! cc @StephenLevin33
S. Korea was at 250,000 tests mid March; 7 weeks into the outbreak. That’s hardly “early” testify on a large scale, yet for TWO MONTHS every Clown, Parrot, Zombie or Sheep in the Herd repeats the buzzword “South Korea tested.”

As of NOW they tested only 1.3% of the population!

Now, contact tracing. The Person quarantines for 14 days. Day 15 there is another exposure. Quarantine again? Then again on Day 30? Great plan. I am doubling my contribution.
2/ The White House is doing those daily tests & contact tracing not to be called out as not following the rules. Now they are called out for wanting to open the country without giving the countrt those tools. WH Comms needs to stop doing things to placate critics! There is more:
3/ The White House’s challenge of testing everyone daily and contact tracing should be used by the WH to stress how unattainable of a remedy testing/tracing is on a national level! Can’t test tens of millions daily and trace millions in time that they not infect others!
