Interesting information with huge implications.

Now think of school children sitting in a classroom all day every day, day after day.

There is NO way kids should be forced to sit in a petri dish to be infected. Even if it is a small risk.
Especially after the info Cuomo shared today.

This risk can be completely avoided by delaying reopening of schools.

One of the three dead children is an 18 year old young woman. Symptoms have been observed from newborns to age 21.

Please don’t lose faith in Dr. Hinshaw.

There have been a number of decisions that indicate Dr. Hinshaw is not the final authority in decision making regarding Public Health.

I’ll list them for you.
1. Upon realization that COVid-19 was spreading wildly in other parts of the nation, Kenney and several UCP MLAs opined that closing schools would hurt the economy. Dr. Hinshaw consulted with school boards and determined they could not provide a safe environment.
2. Kenney personally waived work camps from mandatory public health accommodations. When Kearl Lake had an outbreak, he personally reassured the public that Imperial and govt had worker safety as top priority. Throwing CMOH under the bus for his decision.

Kids with disadvantages having their support ripped out from under them.

Nothing says paleolibertarian like attacking the most vulnerable to save a few corporations some taxes.

Lives do not matter to these people. Just cost.
The cost savings of transitioning a young vulnerable adult into a successful career and taxpayer status is lost on those who don’t believe the government should have anything to do with supporting the vulnerable in the first place.
Paleolibertarians envision a society that the young woman profiled would have been told to find a church program supported by charitable Christians who would proselytize and guide her to Dominionist faith and perhaps marriage as a subservient wife to a male wage earner.

My grade 12 student, & 17 year old son, just came to ask me a question about politics. He is doing his social studies homework and felt the need to clarify concepts with someone he trusts knows the answer.

I couldn’t be more thrilled to be included in that category. 😍🥰
This is great progress for us. We love each other dearly, but rarely see eye to eye on politics. He has made an art form out of disagreeing with me on everything political. I’m certain he does it to get a reaction. He’s my contrarian offspring.
Humbling himself to ask a question about the difference between proportional representation and representation by population was huge. I thanked him profusely for asking me when done. He made my day. He now has a better understanding of the concepts & can continue working.
