The cost savings of transitioning a young vulnerable adult into a successful career and taxpayer status is lost on those who don’t believe the government should have anything to do with supporting the vulnerable in the first place.
Paleolibertarians envision a society that the young woman profiled would have been told to find a church program supported by charitable Christians who would proselytize and guide her to Dominionist faith and perhaps marriage as a subservient wife to a male wage earner.
Then there is zero cost to the taxpayer.
If she failed, then that is her just and divine punishment.
And a failure to abide by the expectations of charity incurs no cost to the corporate property owners through taxes to pay for her healthcare or living expenses.
