Depression is awful. Anxiety is torture. But God’s grace is beautiful. When we are empowered to sympathize with others in pain, it’s beautiful. When we can be present with someone grieving, it’s beautiful. When we have the right words because we’ve been there too, it’s beautiful.
Depression is agony. Anxiety is suffocating. But knowing God is strength. When we can relate with Jesus because he wept, it’s strength. When we can imagine how he felt as he sweated blood at Gethsemane, it’s strength. When we can talk to God knowing he gets it, that’s powerful.
Don’t ever let anyone shame you.

Don’t give up.

Take up your cross, and follow Jesus.

Do what you need to do to be well and live life to its fullest, and don’t let fools judge you for needing medicine or therapy or TLC.

When you care for yourself, you care for God’s child ❤️

One "red flag" I see frequently in my teen years is my parents putting me in dangerous situations, or encouraging risky behavior. They were fine with me dating grown men when I was a minor, even if they exhibited dysfunctional behavior or symptoms of substance abuse.
I remember asking them, "Don't you think it's weird for me to date X. I mean, he's 22. Shouldn't I date boys my age?" My dad joked that boys my age couldn't drive or buy me dinner, and X was "safe" because he was gay, and if anything happened, dad said, "I know where he works."
Another guy had severe behavioral problems. At the time, I didn't understand the symptoms I was seeing, but I'm now guessing drug abuse or severe mental illness. He was kicked out of the Marines, had extreme mood swings, depression, anger, and was manipulative and controlling.

When Paul wrote letters from prison, God used his faith in a mightier way than any of us may ever experience. He couldn't see his church. He could only pen the words praying they were read weeks later. Pastor, God can work through tech too. Even in isolation, you are never alone.
You have only ever had one audience. He is God. And he is present. Your congregation is a witness to your act of worship as you preach. Whether that preaching is scrawled on parchment in a prison cell, or emailed as an MP3, our God is mighty to save, and he is endlessly faithful.
If you fear that God's word will not go forth, or your congregation will not hear preaching, simply because you are isolated behind a mic or a keyboard, then perhaps - and I say this in love - you are forgetting how powerful, faithful, sovereign and good our God truly is.

A lady on the plane is loudly telling a guy wearing a mask that #Covid_19 is a scam invented to create mass hysteria. This is going to be a long flight.
Now she's warning passengers who don't live in Houston (where were flying) that they may not be able to get flights back home, and that everyone should calm down.
She says not to worry, because it's a "rich people's disease."
