Amnesty (@AIIndia) being shut down has NOTHING to do with civil liberties!

Here's a thread on why GoI froze accounts:

1. No FCRA approval (it had got it 1X in 2000) but denied by every successive government since 2000 due to account discrepancies.

-accepted a 4yr grant from the British govt worth £3M (exempt from taxes because it was a 'charity')

-accepted €2.5M from EU & the USA, Norway and Netherlands’ governments.
