I asked the Trump campaign if they'd contacted Reade, and all I got back was a link to a tweet about her lawyer saying that actually Trump team did not reach out. The campaign didn't respond when asked why they were saying the lawyer was accurate and Reade was not.

How did Reade ascertain it wasn’t a Trump campaign outreach, as she claimed? When? Why didn’t she tell the newspaper that?
