Canada joins UK, US and Australian diabetes groups who've made similar statements calling low-carb diet a safe and highly effective option for diabetes. However, insofar as I can see, US, Canada are not promoting this diet. No mention of it in @DiabetesCanada post w/ an MD 2/
He says mainly "avoid drinking" alcohol and keep a food diary to survive COVID. Neither of those recommendations have been shown to reverse T2 diabetes diagnosis as have, say, low-carb, but he does get sympathy points for saying don't try to give up comfort food. 🤦‍♀️
