The number of COVID cases appears to be in decline in Tower Hamlets
@TowerHamletsNow does not seem to track nor collate this data so every few days I will report the stats

Relatively speaking lower number of cases in TH 629 then others, Crowdon 1,491

This is number of new cases reported in Tower Hamlets in recent days
But at this point not everybody was being tested (although more then in March)
Testing for all WITH symptoms announced 18th May, will take time for this roll out
+ many infected show no symptoms

Two peaks of 34 cases 26th March & 3rd April
But not everybody being tested but hospital admissions with symptoms were, so still a useful comparison over time

1st red arrow is 11th March is when Tower Hamlet Council formally launched its planned response to a health emergency (more on this later)
This was 1 week after first cases in TH on 4th March, these were reported around the 8th March in local newspapers

We need to maintain social distancing & to take precautions (masks!) but if new cases stay at 0 as testing ramped up over next week(s) then recovery phase can continue unless new cases increase in which case we don't

Countries like Korea are months ahead of us
This is why we need contact app + contact tracing + mass testing to stop new infections spreading, until these fully rolled out & working properly v difficult to move to next phase of unlocking safely
