The irony of the UCP going to Trudeau for monetary handouts to keep there employees shit tweeting him is too rich to ignore.

The only financial mismanagement was a Gordon Dirks/Gene Zwosdesky decision from years ago. To be fair, there is some good things in it like bus cost rationalization and getting a board coach, but I suspect getting rid of the UCP candidate board member improved things. #ABLeg

The only thing I am really angry about is the further assault an democracy by @sunrickbell who was given a copy of the report super early in exchange for (it appears) a supportive column prior to the press conference. Free press is critical to democracy. This isn't it. #freepress

This isn't the first time this has happened and won't be the last. Most notably the "ding donger" @sunrickbell released an early support piece for Jeff Johnston's task force report (firestorm ensued that immolated his political career). Another attack on democracy.

Firing the duly elected #yyccbe Board would also be an assault on democracy and should only be done as a last resort. #ABLeg Accusing a board of short term financial planning while budgets were getting slashed and re-written is not the last resort.
